Questionnaire 2016 (parents)

Response of the Local Governing Body to the Parental Questionnaire 2016.

We recognise that whilst it is a small proportion of parents who have raised the issue of bullying and having no formal investigations of bullying under our Anti-bullying policy during the academic year 2015-2016, the school will be putting in place the following:

  • Education and clarity for pupils and parents of "What is bullying?"
  • Providing further opportunities for pupil voice through

i) Taking part in Pupil Voice Week

ii) Taking part in Anti-bullying week

iii) Review of our discipline policy, ensuring there is clarity to all about what constitutes bullying.

iv) Pupil involvement and debates through the School and Learning Councils.

School Meals

As we have no school kitchen on site and rely on our providers Dolce to provide a high quality service within a designated budget, we will ensure that the views of parents are fed back to our supplier and ask that their response be published on the website when this becomes available.

Community links

During the academic year 2016-2017 we will be introducing Class Dojo across the school (this was successfully trialled in Year 2 during the summer term 2016). This will allow parents to see the work of their child including activities involving the community. This will be in addition to the present methods we offer:

  • Facebook;
  • Twitter;
  • School Webpage;
  • School Newsletter;
  • Local Newspaper;
  • Tapestry (Early Years reporting tool to parents).
