We are very excited to have received a Healthy Family Pledge award through Cumbria County Council.  This recognises our continued commitment to support our Early Years families to have the best possible start in life, through a joined up approach between our families and school.

The county aim is to lead to an improvement in children's health and development which will show in Cumbria's National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) data for 5 year olds.

In Fairfield Early Years, we have an active approach to learning through the outdoors and through celebration of our own healthy nutrition, physical Activity and emotional health and well being. Some achievements include running a collective 30,000km in a year, welcoming many visitor to help us learn a wide range of ways to care for ourselves and celebrating our personal sporting successes in our family lives.

This approach ties in very nicely with our whole school ethos of being healthy, active and enjoying our natural environment - Well done to the EYFS team!
